IP Telephony (VOIP)

Telephone system that resides in the cloud rather than in your office. Users access the system through a standard IP handset or a softphone – a screen-based virtual phone. Calls are made and received over a broadband connection to our partners telecom network. From there they are routed to PSTN fixed and mobile devices.

Hosted telephony means no costly PBX maintenance or upgrades. We are responsible for the hardware and software, including system upgrades.

As well as giving your organisation access to low-cost and free calls between employees, a hosted system puts a huge range of smart call management features at your fingertips.

Perhaps most important is the degree of control a hosted system gives you. Your organisation’s entire communications, across multiple sites and countries, can be managed easily, right down to the individual user level, through a simple interface.

Unified Communication

Voice over Internet Protocol VoIP is a communication service that incorporates SMS, Voice and Video calls which are transported via the internet.

ITM247 is proud to be a partner of Cisco, widely recognised as one of the largest communications providers around the globe and being a partner of Cisco we are fully qualified to supply, install and support their systems.

Cisco telephony solutions are an integral part of Cisco Unified Communications, which unify voice, video, data, and mobile applications on fixed and mobile networks enabling users to easily communicate in any workspace using any media, device, or operating system. Using the network as the platform, Cisco telephony solutions help organisations of all sizes realise greater security, resilience, and scalability in addition to the inherent benefits of using a converged network for transport and interconnection.

Cisco telephony solutions will:

  • Provide secure, reliable, scalable communications that take advantage of your LAN and WAN.
  • Improve employee agility and productivity through integration with innovative Cisco Unified Communications and third-party applications.

Save on telephone equipment

Typically even a small telephone system can cost thousands of pounds. The only capital expenditure with SIP Communicator™ is the cost of the phones, maybe a Power over Ethernet switch if over 4 extensions, and a small remote project management/configuration fee. The initial equipment and engineering cost compared with a telephone system is a reduction of 60%. For a typical 6 user SIP Communicator™ system, the hardware cost is around £850.00.

Save on telephone line installation

Instead of installing expensive ISDN or analogue lines, the system uses IP telephony which reduces the line installation cost by over 50%. For examples, installing 3 ISDN2e circuits, allowing 6 people to be on the phone at any one time, would have a typical installation cost of £850.00. Whereas, to install a dedicated IP circuit for voice capable of handling up to 6 calls would cost just £199.00, including the analogue host line.

Key benefits of VoIP

  • Simpler infrastructure because with VoIP on your network you no longer need separate cabling for your telephone system.
  • VoIP solutions are extremely scalable.
  • VoIP Installations are simple and easily migrated.
  • Reduced operating costs as a VoIP exchange is based on software rather than hardware, it is easier to alter and maintain.
  • Along with cheaper outgoing calls you get free internal calls.
